First, I’d like to introduce myself to those who do not know me. My name is Dennis, KC9DSP, and I was elected president of our radio club. I’m also the Coordinator of our VE team. We have a very strong VE team, and I have been adding VEs weekly. Let me know if you’re interested in becoming a VE.
Second, we’ve been making changes to the club. If you haven’t attended a meeting or checked our webpage recently, please do so. We try to have a program at every meeting. The meeting time has been changed to 7 PM to accommodate these programs.
Third, we started the year with 21 members. My goal was to reach 50 members by the end of my term. We are currently at 42 paid members and growing. A few of you have not paid dues for this year yet. Please remit your dues to continue your membership.
Fourth, we are about to celebrate 50 years as a club. I think that’s fantastic, and we should start planning a celebration. Please share your ideas and suggestions.
Fifth, I have appointed Bob McDonald, N9WDV, as Membership Coordinator. We are updating our roster and member list on the website. I am missing some emails, so those individuals may not receive this message. Hopefully, Bob and I can reach them. We also have many missing phone numbers. If you want your email or phone number to be private, please respond to this message through our contact page. We believe the Membership Coordinator and Treasurer should have contact information for our members. Additionally, please let us know if you are a current ARRL member.
Lastly, I want to thank the other officers and the board members. I definitely could not have accomplished what we have without your help.
